Description

This color chart presents the full up-to-date color range of the yarnOMBELLE.

OMBELLE is a mohair yarn that belongs to the OMBELLE - KIDOPALE - MOUSTACHE - BLING-BLING family. OMBELLE combines 75% mohair fibre, which brings a vaporous, fuzzy and swelling side, with a binding fibre ("core of the yarn") made with 20% natural wool and 5% polyamide material; the latter brings its resistance and its elasticity while being used for the realization of the loops. Mohair fibre is the fleece of this particular breed of goats of Caucasian origin, raised today mainly in the highlands of South Africa, even if high quality breeding has been developing in France for several years. Fonty selects fine, long and homogeneous fibres on herds of young animals.

OMBELLE can be knitted alone, doubled, even tripled, or mixed with other yarns to obtain subtle assemblies associating the visual effect mohair with the properties of other materials (softness, shine, elasticity, resistance). The range of OMBELLE colors is wide, mixing very bright tones with more neutral tones. The OMBELLE yarn, knitted alone, is recommended for needles # 3.5 to 4. This yarn should preferably be washed by hand, with mild soap (Marseille soap, organic if possible), without spinning, drying flat.

The pages of this color chart are manually handcrafted by the team.
