Description
The ANTIQUE yarn is made from 100% French sheep wool (mainly Limousin and Texel breeds), from the Limousin and the Massif Central regions.
This nervous fibre gives the ANTIQUE yarn a rustic aspect typical of a carded yarn. Wools from France have excellent crimp, hence their use, in general, for mattresses (natural spring), for carpets (excellent resistance to crushing) and for clothing (swelling and resistant works). ANTIQUE is thus a classic carded yarn, appreciated for sports sweaters, also widely used for canvas and weaving schools, and finally, well suited to knit work aimed at felting at the end of the knit. Given the origin of the wool and the rustic manufacturing process, the price of this yarn is attractive. The range of colors is frank and wide. Except for voluntary use of its felting properties, the ANTIQUE yarn should preferably be washed by hand, with Marseille soap, without spinning, and drying flat.
ANTIQUE is also available as 100g undyed, untreated, not degreased, ready-to-dye skeins within the yarn quality ANTIQUE prêt-à-teindre.
